The White Stag
My favorite animal lately has been the Wite Stag. Its beautiful and majestic...and it has alot of mythology behind it. I have researched and researched the animal and you could say that there is alot or very little information on the magical creature. The Huns believed that the stag was the Guide to the will of God and the leader of new lands because there has been a story of the Huns chasing a stag and the stag led them to a new land that they soon took over. The stag became the seal of the Huns and no one can really say if this story is a Myth or a Legend. Another is a Scottish story from Christian origin. King David I and his Friends wanted to go hunting on a very sacred day called Holy Cross Day where they honor the cross that Jesus was crucified on. The Bishops and the Clergy told them not to go but they did anyway and so as they went into the deep woods the stumbled upon a beautiful white stag and the chase was on. most of the huntsmen fell behind until it was just King David and the Stag. Another talent of the White stag is that it rarely is caught, the hunter can be so close but just out of reach as well. The stag stopped and charged his mighty antlers at the horse, the horse reaered back and tossed king David to the ground and charged at him. Just as the stag was charging at him King David saw a shiny gold cross hanging from the antlers. King David reached for it and jut bearly touched it and the cross disappeared and the stag peacefully cantered away. When the Huntsmen returned to the King they wanted to go and search for it again bur the King
refused and returned to the castle. that night he had a dream about his mother and the cross that she used to wear and the cross of the stag. he made an abbey and dedicated it to his mother and that cross... There are so many stories about how the White stag has led people to new lands and reminded people of what was important in life, whether these stories are true or not, the white stag will always be a mysterious creature that can never be caught.
